The Fault in Our Stars (John Green)

"The Fault in Our Stars" is a novel by John Green, published in January 2012. 

The story is narrated by a sixteen-year-old cancer patient named Hazel Grace Lancaster, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group where she meets and falls in love with the seventeen-year-old Augustus Waters, a basketball player. 

The title is inspired from Act 1, Scene 2 of Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar", in which Cassius says to Brutus: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,  But in ourselves, that we are underlings."

Extension:

In January 2012, Fox 2000 optioned the rights to adapt the novel into a  film. 

Josh Boone directed a year later, in February 2013. Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen produced the film.
